My story

meandmygrandad.jpg

It began with my Grandad. He needed help with daily tasks and struggled to get the assistance he needed when he did not want (or really have the physical/personal need) to go into a care home.

As a family we rallied and I took him out frequently, checked in on him a lot and was more than happy to be there when he needed me.  The thing was, just because I was happy to do it didn't mean it was easy.  I had three young children, a husband, a home, a disabled aunt who I helped out too and two cats – not forgetting I also had a job at the hospital.

So, I figure there must be a lot of people out there in the same predicament; too many things to fit into their lives in the time we have to do it in.

Something always has to give.

Unfortunately we wait too long to get to that point and end up burning ourselves out.

Remember our village. The whole concept of "It takes a village" is to remember that a problem shared is a problem halved. Accepting you need help with something is a good life decision for you and your family.

Voices of Our Village

“The thing that comes to my mind when you mention Emma is that she is a genuinely very kind person who has a mountain of soul. I can only say that if you chose to use Emma’s services you always get more than what you think you will get. A very nice decent person  very happy to recommend."
